This drawing course introduces students to the fundamental skills of observational drawing through a variety of subjects and materials. Students begin with line, value, shading, and basic geometric forms, then progress to still life, everyday objects, texture, glass, hands, portraits, and the human figure.
Throughout the course, students will explore pencil, colored pencil, pastel, pen and ink, charcoal, and white charcoal while learning techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, blending, proportion, light, shadow, reflection, and texture.
Designed for beginners and developing artists, this course helps students build strong drawing foundations, improve observation skills, and gain confidence in expressing three-dimensional form and personal subject matter.
